Bisimoto Puts Out 600 HP Hyundai Elantra

Every year around this time, SEMA brings forth a variety of aftermarket and tuned vehicles for enthusiasts to feast their eyes on. Of course, Murdock Hyundai of Murray, serving Salt Lake City, is largely concerned with what our favorite automaker brings to the table and for 2012, Hyundai has not let us down.

When it comes to the well-rounded Hyundai Elantra, you can expect enjoyable drive and excellent fuel economy. As for jaw-dropping performance? Not so much...that is, unless you happen to be zipping around in the new Elantra GT concept by Bisimoto. This unassuming beast is putting its best foot and 600-hp forward for the audience at SEMA.

That's right. Six-hundred ponies from the Elantra's 1.8-liter engine is entirely possible. Confirming the motive behind this auto, Hedi Kim, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bisimoto, explains, "...We focused on raw horsepower with this SEMA concept. We think the final product is a great example of just what can be achieved with turbocharging and engine tuning in the present day."1

To solidify the Hyundai Elantra GT Concept's status, the magic makers at Bisimoto have also added in racing seats and harnesses, a Progress coilover suspension and anti-roll bar kit, an upgraded clutch, Buddy Club wheels, and a roll cage. Of course, we can't forget the eye-catching custom body wrap to top the whole performance package off.
