The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe
The 2024 model year has brought a host of changes to the Hyundai Santa Fe. With the 4th gen ending its run with the 2023 model, the 2024 Santa Fe will launch the 5th Gen design. Consumers will notice immediately the brand new exterior, featuring a more boxy looking body that portrays a noticeably more aggressive stature than its predecessors, complimented nicely by the 21 inch wheels it travels on. LED headlights and taillights are shaped like an H. An LED bar splits the front grill forming its own wide H between the headlights and even the front air dam sports an H design albeit somewhat more subtle then the aforementioned LEDs.
The Roomier 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe
Hyundai adopted an unconventional approach when setting out to overhaul the Santa Fe model. They had a goal to increase the space inside for both passengers and their variously sized and shaped cargo. To accomplish this goal, the wheelbase has been stretched, the front overhang has been reduced to accommodate this longer wheelbase, and the rear liftgate has been made wider. The second and third row seating can be folded all the way flat for extra cargo room and the interior dimensions have been changed to increase the interior space to best in class figures. Three rows of available seating allow for transportation of at least 6 passengers.
Interior Styling of the 2024 Santa Fe
The cabin has been retooled to include dual 12.3 inch screens behind curved glass which house the instrument panel behind the steering wheel and the Infotainment system and connectivity options are housed just to its right. A dual zone climate control system has its control panel center mounted just below the rightmost display screen. Nestled in the center console between the climate control and the cup holders are two wireless charging pads with an open storage cubby just below them. The seats and headliners feature bright colors meant to further the contrast between the exterior and interior and create a more fun and enjoyable ride in the cabin. Hyundai has opted for sustainable materials inside the Santa Fe such as recycled plastics and eco friendly leatherette. The H theme seen on the exterior is seen inside as well where the perpendicular design appears on the dashboard and air vents.
2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Under the Hood
The Power Plant in the Santa Fe is available in two configurations. The Gasoline model will come with a gently reworked version of the 2.5L turbo DOHC 16 valve inline 4 cylinder seen in last year’s Santa Fe as an option. This edition received extensive engineering work and was certified as super low emissions (SULEV 30) while maintaining horsepower and torque numbers strikingly similar to its predecessor. It comes paired with an 8 speed twin clutch automatic transmission. The hybrid option meanwhile, comes with a 1.6L DOHC 16 valve inline 4 cylinder augmented by an electric motor and combined with a 6 speed automatic transmission. Snoop around a little further and you might notice updated hardware in the steering components and some updates to improve the vehicle stiffness which will reduce noise and felt vibration. Variable-frequency damping is a new addition to the Santa Fe’s features this year and allows for finer tuning of the suspension in light off-road and normal driving situations.
Tech and Safety Features
The tech is dripping out of the new 2024 Santa Fe, from the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster designed to keep you connected and on track, to the USB and wireless charging ports to keep your devices powered to a host of safety features the most unique of which may be an ultraviolet sanitation tray on top of the glove box. Hyundai didn’t stop there in the pursuit of safety though, a suite of features designed to combat inattentive driving include blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking and automatic high beams. The Santa Fe will lock the doors to keep you from stepping out into traffic and even has a radar activated reminder that there are passengers in the rear seats. Navigation and connectivity options abound and even include an advanced smartphone key.
2024 Hyundai Santa Fe US Release
The completely redesigned 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will be officially released to the US market in November of 2023 and is expected to be available to consumers in early 2024. Take the chance when you get it to feast your eyes on the longer, taller, and roomier 2024 Santa Fe. It’s truly an impressive collection of engineering feats and appearance changes that will leave a lasting impression.
